We are looking for a Salary Specialist to join us in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What is in it for you
You will handle and develop payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring everything runs on time, meets local regulations and supports our internal controls. You will work closely with departments like People, Finance and external providers to build dependable, scalable processes and keep improving how we do things.

Beyond the essentials of payroll management, you will support the implementation of a new global payroll system and ensure the transition from local consultants to a centralised payroll process, contributing to a seamless and efficient payroll experience.

Therefore, you will play an important role in designing and implementing payroll strategies that support our evolving business needs.

You will be part of a collaborative company and team. Today the team consists of 2 colleagues, and you will report directly to the Head of Corporate Finance.

The tasks that await you
To be more specific, your responsibilities will include to:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for employees across multiple global locations.

  • Maintain payroll systems by gathering, calculating, addressing discrepancies and inputting accurate payroll data.

  • Prepare and present payroll reports for management.

  • Respond to employee inquiries, solve payroll issues and provide timely resolutions to payroll-related questions.

  • Support payroll audits and compliance checks, ensuring the security and confidentiality of payroll data.

  • Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes to enhance the process.

Your core qualifications

Further, to thrive in this position, you:

  • Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; payroll certifications are beneficial.

  • Bring experience in payroll management within a global or multi-entity environment.

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of payroll laws applicable in various locations.

  • Hold proficiency in payroll software and advanced Excel skills.
